The basics
Working with Arrow Aerial
What does Arrow Aerial do?
Construction progress photography and video, drone mapping and 3D models, commercial and industrial aerial photography, and land and development site work, across Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
Are you FAA licensed and insured?
Yes. Every flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 licensed remote pilot, and the business is fully insured to meet the requirements of private clients and commercial job sites.
How much does a project cost?
It depends on what you need delivered, the size of the site, how often it is flown, where it is and the airspace. Every job gets one clear price for the whole scope before the first flight, and there are no published package prices because no two sites are the same.
How fast are files delivered?
Edited photos typically arrive within 24 to 48 hours of the flight and edited video within 48 to 72 hours, by download link. Maps and models are dated in the quote.
Can we use the files commercially?
Yes. Every job includes full commercial usage rights, and you receive high-resolution files suitable for reports, print, web and advertising.

Progress, cadence and maps
How often should a construction site be flown?
Monthly suits most commercial builds, with weekly or bi-weekly visits during fast phases. One-time and milestone flights are available too.
Do visits really use the same angles every time?
Yes. Positions, heights and headings are set on the first flight, recorded and repeated, so every set lines up with the last.
Can progress photos, video and a map come from one visit?
Yes, and most recurring clients combine them. It is far cheaper than scheduling separate trips.
Is a drone map a survey?
No. Maps and models are for planning and progress. A legal boundary survey needs a licensed land surveyor.
Flying
Airspace, safety and weather
Can you fly near airports or in controlled airspace?
Often, yes. The airspace is checked before booking and FAA authorization requested where required. Near airports that usually means limited altitudes, and occasionally a site needs extra notice.
How high can you fly?
Up to 400 feet above ground level in unrestricted airspace, and lower where an authorization sets a limit.
Do I need to get permits?
No. FAA airspace authorizations are part of the service, and you will be told up front if a site needs anything else.
Can you fly inside buildings?
Yes. Indoor flights through warehouses and plant floors are part of the commercial and industrial work.
What if the weather is bad?
The flight moves to the next safe window, with notice before the scheduled day.

Where, what else and how to start
Where do you work?
Kentucky and Southern Indiana, from Evansville and Owensboro to Lexington and the Mountain Parkway, with travel farther for larger commercial projects. Travel is part of the quote.
Do you offer thermal or infrared imaging?
No. Arrow Aerial provides visual photography, video and mapping only.
Do you also do real estate photography?
Real estate and residential work in the Louisville area is handled through Aerial Photography Louisville, run by the same pilot.
